Blackbranch Farm is located in Julian, PA. We grow Certified Naturally Grown Vegetables for Farmer’s Markets, CSA, and local restaurants.

Chris and Amber Hench started the farm in 2022. We moved to Centre County from Lancaster County in 2021 and got to work building Blackbranch Farm. When we first met, we talked about our dreams and goals of living a more sustainable and self sufficient lifestyle. Amber grew up helping on her grandparent’s homestead, from harvesting, to processing the harvest for winter, and collecting eggs. Chris as a hunter grew interested in the idea of growing food, and began researching small-scale, no-till market gardening. We enjoy the journey of growing food with sustainable practices, and love to share our harvest with our community.
